Matthias Bohlender
Matthias Bohlender (born June 23, 1964 in Gelnhausen-Meerholz ) is a German political scientist .
Life
From 1983 to 1993 Bohlender studied philosophy , political science and German at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main , where he was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD . From 1995 to 2000 he was a research assistant at the Humboldt University in Berlin .
After working at the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities , he returned to the HU Berlin, where he obtained his habilitation in political science in 2005 (supervised by Herfried Münkler ).
On April 1, 2009, Bohlender was appointed to succeed Rainer Eisfeld as professor of political theory at the University of Osnabrück .
