Matthias E. Gahr

Matthias Ernst Gahr (born November 15, 1971 in Würzburg ) is a German composer and lyricist specializing in Christian pop music and New Spiritual Song .

Life

The paleontologist received his doctorate from the University of Würzburg. Today he works as a product manager at the Vier-Türme-Verlag of the Münsterschwarzach Abbey and looks after numerous books by Father Anselm Grün , CDs with organ music by Father Dominikus Trautner on the Klais organ of the abbey church and the editions of liturgical books by the abbey, such as the Example the Benedictine Breviary and the volumes of the Benedictine Antiphonals . He works as a keyboardist and songwriter in the band Sternallee and as a speaker for songwriting (focus on Christian popular music ). He works voluntarily in the working group for New Spiritual Song (NGL) and children's song in the Diocese of Würzburg . Songs by Gahr have appeared in song books and on CDs.
