Matthias Ellmauer

Matthias Ellmauer (born June 7, 1946 in Wels ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and a former member of the Austrian National Council .

education and profession

Matthias Ellmauer attended compulsory school between 1952 and 1961 and then completed his forester training with state examination between 1961 and 1967 . Between 1977 and 1978 he attended the Raiffeisen Academy in Vienna, and from 1968 to 1969 he did military service.

From 1969, Ellmauer was a bank employee at the Upper Austrian Volkskreditbank Linz and in 1973 became managing director of the Raiffeisenbank Traunkirchen. From 1990 he was director of the Raiffeisenbank Traunsee-West, the title was awarded to him by the Raiffeisenverband Oberösterreich. He became managing director of Raiffeisenbank Traunsee-West in 1992 and was on leave from 1995.

politics

Matthias Ellmauer was a local councilor of Traunkirchen from 1973 and between 1987 and 2002 mayor of the community. He was deputy chairman of the ÖAAB operating group of the Volkskreditbank and between 1974 and 1983 local group chairman of the ÖAAB Traunkirchen. In 1984 he was elected local group chairman of the Traunkirchen Economic Association and in 1991 district party chairman of the ÖVP Gmunden . From 1994 Ellmauer was also a member of the federal board of the Austrian Association of Municipalities .

Ellmauer was a member of the Federal Council between February 12, 1993 and March 12, 1995 . He was elected to the National Council on March 13, 1995 and was a member of it until October 29, 2006.
