Matthias Fell

Matthias Fell (born January 2, 1940 in Ahrweiler ) is the former president of the USC Münster and the West German Volleyball Association.

Career

Matthias fur was active in his youth athletes and athlete , and later as a handball - and volleyball player and as a football - referee . Since 1957 he has taken on various voluntary functions in sport, especially in volleyball.

Awards

Matthias Fell received numerous awards, such as the Münster-Nadel in 2002 . He was awarded the Sports Oscar by the Sports Association of the City of Münster at the 2003 Sports Ball. A short time later in 2006 he was the first recipient of the newly created “ Volleyball Award ”. In 2008 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon . After resigning from his position as President of the West German Volleyball Association on June 24, 2012, Matthias Fell is now Honorary President. He is also an honorary member of the German Volleyball Association , the Münster City Sports Association and the USC Münster . He has been Honorary President of USC Münster since 2019.

He also received the following awards: DVV badge of honor in silver (1981) and gold (1985), bearer of the sports plaque of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia (2003), honor plaque of the SSB (2001).

  • Since 1982 volunteer work for the Stadtsportbund (SSB), since 1999 chairman of the AK competitive sports and board member, since 2006 deputy chairman.
  • From 1994 to 2009 a competent citizen as a member of the sports committee of the city of Münster, from 1995 to 1997 chairman of the CDU local union Geist, 1997–2000 aldermen at the Münster district court, 2001–2004 aldermen at the Münster district court.
