Matthias Scheiber

Matthias Scheiber (born November 11, 1946 in Leogang ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and farmer. Scheiber was a member of the Salzburg state parliament from 1999 to 2009 .

education and profession

After attending compulsory school, Scheiber graduated from the agricultural school in Bruck an der Großglocknerstrasse . Subsequently, he worked as a farmer and building society consultant. In addition, Scheiber was a member of the supervisory board of Leoganger Bergbahnen .

politics

Scheiber founded the rural youth in 1965 and was its chairman for five years. From 1971 to 1986 he took over the function of ÖVP community party chairman in Leogang and has been a community representative since 1974. Between 1987 and 2004 he was mayor of Leogang. Scheiber was sworn in as a member of the Salzburg state parliament on April 27, 1999 and became the area spokesman for the topics of municipalities, hunting and fishing, protection of the local image, spatial planning and agriculture in the ÖVP state parliament club. After the state elections in Salzburg in 2009, he left the state parliament on April 22, 2009.

Private

Matthias Scheiber is married and has four children.
