Matthias Westerhoff

Matthias Westerhoff (* 1961 ) is a German Protestant church historian . He is an adjunct professor for early church history (I) at the University of Erlangen . He is also particularly interested in church bells.

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied theology in Marburg , Oxford , Tübingen and Munich (1982–1988), Coptic 1984/85 with Mark Smith in Oxford and Syriac 1991/92 with Peter Nagel in Halle .

At the Theological Faculty of the University of Halle was with Scripture "Our Lord Book of the resurrection of Jesus Christ," Resurrection and the Hereafter in the Coptic 1997 Doctor of theology doctorate and at the Theological Faculty of the University of Erlangen with Scripture 2006 The Paul understanding the Liber Graduum habilitation . Since the summer semester 2007 he has been teaching as a private lecturer and later as an adjunct professor at the theological faculty in Erlangen. He is the Protestant pastor of the Kreuzkirche in Hof .
