Matthys Naiveu (baptized April 16, 1647 in Leiden ; † around 1721 in Amsterdam ) was a Dutch painter.

Matthys Naiveu created genre pictures , portraits , religious pictures and still lifes . The knowledge of Naiveu is essentially based on the information provided by Arnold Houbraken . After that he was a student of Abraham Toorenvliet and then of Gerard Dou . In 1671 he became a member of the Guild of St. Luke in Leiden. In 1677 he was Hoofdman (chairman) of his hometown. In the same year he moved to Amsterdam. On March 9, 1696, he became a citizen of Amsterdam.
