Mattias Asper (born March 20, 1974 in Sölvesborg ) is a Swedish football goalkeeper .
career
Asper began his professional career in 1993 at Mjällby AIF in the Superettan . In 1998 he moved to AIK Solna at Allsvenskan , where he won the Swedish championship title in 1999.
In 2000 Real Sociedad San Sebastián signed him . In the Primera División , however, he could not prevail and came on only ten missions. He was then loaned to Beşiktaş Istanbul in his second year . After the end of the season he moved back to Sweden to Malmö FF . Here he won the second championship title in 2004.
In 2006 he left Sweden again and went to neighboring Norway to join Viking FK in the Tippeligaen . In the summer of 2007, he returned to his home country when he moved to the Allsvenskan for first division promoted IF Brommapojkarna . However, he only stayed until the end of the season and moved to his hometown club Mjälly AIF in January 2008, where he signed a two-year contract.
Asper was between his debut in a 1-0 loss to South Africa in November 1999 and his last international match in 2002 in three games for Sweden between the posts. He was part of the squad for the 2000 European Championship as the third goalkeeper behind Magnus Hedman and Magnus Kihlstedt .
