Mattias Sereinig (born November 17, 1984 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee ) is an Austrian football player on the position of a defender . He currently plays for SK Austria Klagenfurt .
Career
Sereinig began his football career at SV Moosburg in Carinthia. He then moved to SC Ebenthal and then to FC Kärnten, first in the Bundesliga and, after their relegation, in the First League . Sereinig made his debut in the top Austrian league on October 29, 2003 against the Grazer AK . The game was lost 1: 4 and he was substituted in the 72nd minute by Jürgen Kampel .
For the 2008/09 season he moved to SK Sturm Graz in the Austrian Bundesliga, after he had previously been relegated to the third-class regional league center with FC Kärnten . He played eight games for the Bundesliga team of the traditional Styrian club. A year after moving to Styria, he signed a contract with SCR Altach, relegated to the Bundesliga.
After four years in the second division, Sereinig moved back to the Bundesliga and signed a contract with SC Wiener Neustadt . After the relegation of Neustädter at the end of the 2014/15 season, he returned home to Carinthia and became a player in SK Austria Klagenfurt, which had just been promoted to the first division . With the Klagenfurt team, he was forced to join the regional league after only one season.
He is completing a distance learning course on the subject of sports management.
