Mattias von Hartmannsdorf

Mattias von Hartmannsdorf (born May 12, 1641 in Greifswald as Mattias Hartmann ; † September 13, 1690 in Wismar ) was a German lawyer and diplomat in the Swedish service, most recently as a judge at the Wismar Tribunal .

Life

Mattias Hartmann was a son of the Greifswald councilor Christian (or Carsten) Hartmann (1601–1668) and Margareta Bünsow († 1692). In 1670 he became an extraordinary trainee lawyer at the court in Greifswald . On March 3, 1673 he was promoted to full trainee lawyer and protonotary and appointed assessor on the same day . From 1682 to 1685 he was resident at the Electoral Saxon court in Dresden . On January 20, 1683, he was raised to the Swedish nobility with the name of Hartmannsdorf .

On September 26, 1685 he was appointed court judge and assessor of the Wismar tribunal.

From 1667 he was married to Christina von Faltzburg, the daughter of the government councilor Johann von Faltzburg . The two had four sons and a daughter. The son Johann Christian von Hartmannsdorf (1661–1731) was director of the Greifswald court.
