Matunga-iyo-Baaba is a tiny island in Somalia . It belongs politically to Jubaland and geographically to the Bajuni Islands , a chain of coral islands ( barrier islands ), which extends from Kismaayo in the north over 100 kilometers to the Raas Kaambooni near the Kenyan border.

The island lies at the end of the Bajuni Islands, together with Smiid , Bishikaani , Salooto Feerde , as well as Seerbeenti and the Kuwaajuule peninsula which are connected to the country. The island of Yabangoodi connects to the south . The island is about 1.5 km from the coast, in the extension of Cape Raas Matooni of Kuwaajuule.

The climate is tropical hot monsoon climate .
