Mauracher is an Austrian alternative rock band based around songwriter Hubert Mauracher.

history

Instead of working as head chef in his parents' hotel inn in the Tyrolean Zillertal, Hubert Mauracher started his musical career as a drummer in a rock band and dedicated himself - influenced by international downtempo greats - to the production of electronic music. His musical development took him to Vienna , convinced the two operators of the electronics label Fabrique Records in 2001 and with the first release Milestone he had one of the most played airplay hits on Austria's alternative radio station FM4 in 2002. After several electronic releases and radio successes all over Europe, he decided Hubert Mauracher in summer 2004 to return to his musical roots. With a new band around Frenk Lebel, the former front man of the formation Play the Tracks Of , and the singer Maja Racki, he released his second album in 2005, for which Fabrique Records entered into a long-term cooperation with Universal Music and Klein Records. After the release, Mauracher toured Europe together with the Sofa Surfers .

In autumn 2006 the pre-production for the third album began. In addition, Frenk Lebel and Hubert Mauracher went their separate ways again, at least as far as the band Mauracher was concerned. His successor on guitar was Daniel Grailach, who is a drummer in the band A Life, A Song, A Cigarette , among others . The album was re-recorded and mixed in Weilheim by Mario Thaler in the Uphon Studio and was released in January 2008 under the title Loving Custodians . From 2011, Mauracher worked on his fourth album, which was again increasingly electronically produced, reformed his band and brought in the vocalist Sonia Sawoff (from the band Sawoff Shotgun ). Super Seven appeared again in October 2012 on Mauracher's home label Fabrique Records, accompanied by a tour through Austria and Germany.

In November 2013 Mauracher released the first single Mind-Boggling des in March 2014 on their own label Hooray !! Music released synth-pop album Let's Communicate , which was composed and produced entirely with Sonia Sawoff.
