Maureen Flannigan (born December 30, 1973 in Inglewood , California ) is an American actress .

Life

Flannigan was born an only child in Inglewood, California. She attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks , California. Then Flannigan attended the University of Southern California .

Career

She was discovered at the age of eleven while being cast for a Mattel commercial, which ultimately never got shot. She had her first (supporting) role in 1984 in An Angel on Earth . She gained greater fame through the lead role of "Evie Ethel Garland" in the television series My Father Is An Alien . However, since the series expired after five years, Flannigan also began starring in films. Her first film role was that of "Bonnie" in Teenage Bonnie & Klepto Clyde . Further film roles such as B. followed in In the Name of Honor . She also had some guest appearances on series such as 90210 . In 1998 she was finally cast in a series lead role. She played "Erin Galway" on the side of Jason Behr in the sports series Push . From 1998 to 2002 she also played "Shana Sullivan" in the television series A Heavenly Family . The role brought her greater awareness, especially in Germany. She also starred in some television series such as Boston Public or Close to Home .
