Maurice Pourchet

Maurice-Jean-Fernand-Alexis Pourchet (born November 2, 1906 in Morteau , † January 2, 2004 ) was Bishop of Saint-Flour .

Life

Maurice Pourchet was ordained a priest on June 29, 1931 . John XXIII appointed him Bishop of Saint-Flour on March 28, 1960 . The Archbishop of Besançon Marcel-Marie-Henri-Paul Dubois consecrated him on May 31 of the same year as bishop; Co - consecrators were Jean-Julien Weber PSS , Bishop of Strasbourg and Georges-Stanislas-Jean Béjot , Auxiliary Bishop in Reims . On May 6, 1982, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.

He died on January 2, 2004 at the age of 97.
