Career

Defensive player Acosta, who can be used in all positions in the back four as well as a central midfielder, was in the ranks of the Uruguayan professional club El Tanque Sisley in 2005 . At least in the second division game against Paysandú Bella Vista , lost 3-1 on June 18, 2005 , he was used. From 2006 he played for the La Luz Fútbol Club . There he was part of the squad of the second division team in the 2007/08 season and was used at least in the Segunda División game on December 8, 2007 in the 0-0 draw against Boston River . Then he was for the fifth-rate German amateur club FC Singen 04active. The engagement in Germany came about through the mediation of a functionary of the Uruguayan football players' union who had connections to a Christian sports association. He initially trained for three months and then played for the club for two months. According to his own statement, he received a salary of 400 euros, which roughly corresponds to the salary at a Uruguayan second division club. In 2011 he returned to Uruguay from Germany and had been without a club for several months in October of that year. At that time, the Uruguayan newspaper La República reported that he - like the two football players without a contract Óscar Gallo and Diego Vitabar - was recruited by national coach Óscar Tabárez to train the national team so that he could compete with two full teams. Acosta had already helped out in this form in preparation for the 2010 World Cup.
