Paysandú Bella Vista , just Bella Vista (nickname: Papales , Auriblanco , Pay Bella ), is a football club from the Departamento Paysandú located namesake Paysandú in western Uruguay .

history

The association was founded on January 11, 1939 under the name Bella Vista Ferroviario in the house of Juan Spolita . The first seat of the association was in the building on Avda. Salto and Queguay (the latter is now called: Dr. Luis A. de Herrera ). On January 7, 1971, the first club headquarters owned by the association was opened on Avda. Salto and Montecaseros . On July 3, 1973, the club from Paysandú acquired its own legal personality and was renamed Atlético Bella Vista . Renaming to the current name Paysandú Bella Vista followed in 1999 when it joined the Asociación Uruguaya de Fútbol (AUF).

The association, which has so far mainly appeared at the departmental level in the organizational structure of the Organización del Fútbol del Interior (OFI), has so far been able to perform twelve times (1948, 1975–1977, 1988, 1991, 1995, 1996, 1998, 2009–2011) Winning the league Departamental de Fútbol de Paysandú championship. The first title win was sealed in 1948 with a 3-1 victory over CA Litoral . On June 18, 1977 they won with a 1-0 win against Club Atlético Atenas de San Carlos in the Copa El País , the most important football tournament in the rest of Uruguay or inland at OFI level, without the clubs of the overpowering capital city Department . For 1981, the Supercopa de Clubes Campeones del Interior was won . In 1998 the club decided the Torneo Mayor de Clubes Campeones del Interior in its favor. In the 1999 season, the club then played in the Uruguayan first division, the Primera División . This was followed by relegation in 2002. The home venue was the Estadio Artigas during the period the club was a member of professional football from 1999 to 2003 . Since then, the home games have been played in Parque Bella Vista with a capacity of 3,500 . The club currently plays (as of 2011) in the Departamental de Fútbol de Paysandú league . President in 2011 was Leonel Delgado. The coaching staff that season consisted of Ángel Betti, Milton Vignolo, Álvaro Arias and Pablo Dupont.
