Max Büssing
Max Büssing (born March 18, 1872 in Braunschweig ; † October 5, 1934 there ) was a German mechanical engineer and entrepreneur as well as an honorary senator of the Technical University of Braunschweig .
Life
Max Büssing was the son of the inventor and entrepreneur Heinrich Büssing , who is considered a pioneer in the field of truck and bus construction . He attended the Herzogliche Neue Gymnasium in his hometown , but switched to the Herzogliche Gymnasium Martino-Katharineum at Easter 1888 . He studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Dresden and the Technical University of Braunschweig and was active in the Corps Teutonia Dresden and Teutonia-Hercynia Braunschweig during his studies .
From 1929 until his death in 1934, Büssing and his brother Ernst managed Büssing AG, which his father had founded and which later became part of the MAN Group .
Honors
The Technical University of Braunschweig awarded Max Büssing the title of Honorary Senator on June 29, 1923 and an honorary doctorate on January 4, 1928 (Dr.-Ing. E. h.) On the basis of his services .
