Max Braun (March 12, 1883 - May 1967 in Miami , Florida ) was an American tug of war .
Braun took part in the 1904 Olympic Games in St. Louis . As a member of the Southwest Gymnastics Club of St. Louis , to which mostly German-born Americans belonged, he was in the final of the tug- of -war competition, which was lost to the Chicago Milwaukee Athletic Club-1 club . Braun only won the silver medal.
