Max Eisinger (born June 26, 1909 in Karlsruhe , † April 24, 1989 ) was a German chess master .

Eisinger learned to play chess at the age of 12. In 1925 he joined the chess club Karlsruhe in 1853, from 1970, the club Karlsruher Schachfreunde emerged. In 1930 he took second place in the Rhine championship after Sonneborn-Berger classification. In 1934 he became the master of Baden for the first time . At the German correspondence chess championship 1935/37, which began on September 1, 1935 and lasted until spring 1937, he took first to fourth place together with three other players, the title was not awarded. Overall, he won the Baden championship eleven times, the Baden Cup seven times and the KSF club championship 25 times.

Between 1938 and 1972 he took part in the German championship 13 times. For his 5th place in Bad Pyrmont in 1949, he received the title of German Chess Master . He took part in international matches for Germany 19 times, including the finals of the European team championship in 1961 in Oberhausen . Until 1981 he played with the Karlsruhe team in the 2nd Bundesliga.

Eisinger worked on the board of the Karlsruhe Chess Friends and in the Baden Chess Association , where he became an honorary member. He was the representative of the master players in the Presidium of the German Chess Federation . At the Chess Olympiads in Siegen in 1970 and in Nice in 1974 , he was the head of the German Olympic team.

Private

Eisinger was a business graduate . From 1939 to 1945 he served as a soldier . He was a member of the KDStV Normannia zu Karlsruhe in the CV .
