Max Haber Neumann

Max Haber Neumann (* 1942 in Asunción ) is a Paraguayan diplomat who has been ambassador to Israel since October 10, 2013 .

Career

In 1965 he was employed by Channel 5 TV - Paulista and Becker do Brazil - Electronics Industry   in San Pablo . In 1966 he completed his studies in electrical engineering at the Universidad Presbiteriana Mackenzie in San Pablo, Brazil. In 1966 he was employed by the power company of San Pablo-Brazil (Light Servicos de Electricidade SA). In 1967 he was employed by the state electricity company Administración Nacional de Electricidad (ANDE). At Philips, he completed advanced training and specialized in lighting technology. He received further training in foreign trade and marketing at  Mackenzie San Pablo, Brazil. From 2001 to 2013 he was Honorary Consul of the State of Israel in the Republic of Paraguay. From 1968 to 1993 he was commercial director of Philips del Paraguay SA . From 1993 to 1995 he was a consultant for “Philips Medical Systems” in Holland, Eindhoven. In May 2013 he was appointed ambassador to Israel by presidential decree from Horacio Cartes . At the end of 2013 he opened the Paraguay Embassy in Israel in Tel Aviv . Since 2001, the Paraguayan ambassadors next to the Italian government in Rome were co-accredited to the government in Jerusalem. He heads the embassy that the government of Horacio Cartes had moved to Jerusalem from June to September 2018 . He speaks Spanish, English Portuguese German and Guarani.

Association activity

From 1988 to 2013 he was a member and from 1990 the President of the Centro de Importadores del Paraguay (Association of Paraguayan Importers). From 2003 to 2013 he was President of the Federación de la Producción, la Industria y el Comercio (FEPRINCO), Association of Production, Industry and Trade of Paraguay. From 1993 to 2013 he was director of the Cámara Nacional de Comercio y Servicios de Paraguay (National Chamber of Commerce and Services of Paraguay). He was a member of the Consejo Empresarial Asesor de Comercio Exterior (CEACE) Business Advisor Council for Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Asunción. He was a member of the Consejo Nacional de las Industrias Maquiladoras de Exportación , (CNIME) Advisory Board of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Paraguay, former member of the Foro Consultivo Económico y Social del Mercosur in Paraguay, from 1995 to 2013 he was Vice President and member of the Advisory Board the Asociación Latinoamericana de la Industria Eléctrica y Electrónica (ALAINEE) (Latin American Association of the Electrical and Electronics Industry ). From 1997 to 2013 he was President of the Paraguayan foreign trade delegation to the Mercosur Conference and the Mercosur Cámara de Comercio Exterior.
