Friedrich von Urff
Friedrich Carl Ernst von Urff (* 13. April 1805 in Kassel , † 27. October 1873 ibid ) was a Kurhessischer lawyer and local politician . From 1838 to 1849 Urff was a member of the Hessian Estates Assembly several times .
Life
family
The von und zu Urff family is an old noble family from Lower Hesse , from which numerous personalities from Hessian history emerged. His father Wilhelm Georg Ludwig Kasimir von Urff (born November 11, 1753 in Niederurff , † September 6, 1834 in Zwesten ) became lieutenant general and governor of Kassel. He married on October 18, 1797 in Zwesten Amöne Antoinette Marie Friederike Wilhelmine von Dalwigk (born August 16, 1770 in Dillich ; † August 30, 1858 in Kassel) from the house of Schauenburg . The couple had three sons and a daughter.
Friedrich was the third child. His older brother Wilhelm von Urff became Major General of the Electorate of Hesse and was also a member of the State Assembly of Electoral Hesse. Her only sister Ernstine Friederike Karoline von Urff (born January 6, 1801 in Niederurff; † March 28, 1831 in Zwesten) married Major General Julius Georg von Langenschwarz from Hesse in October 1821.
Professional background
Urff was accepted into the Hessian judicial service and was initially a trainee lawyer at the civil senate of the higher court in Marburg in 1834 . In 1840 he was appointed senior court secretary there and later government secretary in Marburg. From 1849 to 1851 he was district administrator in the district of Rotenburg , then administrative lawyer in Rotenburg an der Fulda .
As early as 1838 Urff became a member of the Hessian Estates Assembly, the 6th state parliament, as a representative of the knighthood of the Schwalm stream. Also in the following 7th state parliament from 1839 to 1841 he was a member as a representative for the Prince of Isenburg-Birstein and from 1847 to 1849, the 10th and 11th state parliament, again as a representative for the knighthood of the Schwalm Stream. He died on October 27, 1873, at the age of 68 in Kassel.
Marriage and offspring
Friedrich von Urff married on May 29, 1836 in Marburg Auguste Karoline Longine von Heeringen (born February 25, 1808 in Arolsen , † June 23, 1848 in Marburg), a daughter of the princely Waldeck colonel Carl August von Heeringen. They had a son and a daughter. Amona Marianne Henriette Louise Ernstine Karoline Marie von Urff (born October 25, 1839 in Marburg) married the royal Prussian chamberlain and director of the Kassel court theater Karl Albert Buderus von Carlshausen in Kassel in April 1867 . Her younger brother Carl Casimir Wilhelm Julius Josias von Urff (born July 20, 1841 in Zwesten) married Anna Julie Biermann, the daughter of the physician Friedrich Biermann, in Kassel in June 1876. The marriage resulted in two sons and a daughter.
