Max Otto Lewald

Max Otto Lewald (born September 13, 1860 , † 1919 in Kattern (today Gmina Siechnice ) near Breslau ) was a German administrative officer and parliamentarian.

Life

Lewald studied law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität . In 1880 he became a member of the Corps Hansea Bonn . After graduating, he entered the Prussian civil service. In 1892 he was appointed district administrator of the Rawitsch district. In 1895 he moved into the Prussian House of Representatives as a member of the constituency of Posen 6 (Fraustadt, Lissa, Rawitsch, Gostyn) . He belonged to the faction of the Conservative Party . In 1899 he voted as a so-called canal rebel against the construction of the Mittelland Canal . He was then put up for disposition as district administrator. In 1900 he was promoted to the Upper Government Council and transferred to Breslau, which he had to leave the House of Representatives on October 9, 1900. In 1903 he was appointed conductor of the First Department of the Berlin Police Headquarters . Most recently he was police chief of Lichtenberg .
