Max dive
Max Tauch (born June 25, 1935 in Opladen ; † January 17, 2015 in Neuss ) was a German art historian .
Life
Tauch studied art history and received his doctorate in 1967 from the University of Bonn . From 1985 to 1998 he was director of the Clemens Sels Museum in Neuss .
On 15 September 1999 it appointed Pope John Paul II. To the Knights of the Order of the Holy Pope Sylvester . In 2002 Tauch was awarded the Rhineland Taler. In 2008 he received the Hermann von Hessen Prize .
Tauch died on January 17, 2015. The solemn exequies were held on January 23, 2015 in the St. Quirin Basilica in Neuss.
