Tara Norton (born October 25, 1971 ) is a Canadian triathlete and winner of Ultraman Hawaii (2019).

Career

Tara Norton started triathlon in 2000 and started as a professional triathlete in 2004. The first Ironman start as a professional in June 2004 at the Ironman Coeur d'Alene brought her qualification for a starting place at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships), where she finished 25th in October. She has been trained by former triathlon champion Scott Molina (* 1960) since 2005 .

She declared her career ended in 2011 and announced in January 2012 that she was seven months pregnant. Their daughter was born in February. Tara Norton lives in Toronto .

Tara Norton later got back into the triathlon and in December 2019 the 48-year-old won the Ultraman Hawaii (10 km swimming, 421 km cycling and 84 km running; in three daily stages).
