Max Voegeli
Max Voegeli ( pseudonym for Michael West ; born May 2, 1921 in Oberentfelden , Canton Aargau ; † April 24, 1985 in Wettingen , Canton Aargau) was a Swiss writer .
Life
Max Voegeli completed after visiting the district school , a study at the School of Applied Arts in Zurich . He carried out various activities. From 1948 to 1961 he was married to the writer Gertrud Häusermann . Voegeli lived as a freelance writer in Oberentfelden until 1967 and later in Wettingen .
Max Voegeli was the author of novels and short stories for young people as well as poems . His greatest successes were the novel The Wonderful Lamp , who is also into English , French , Dutch , Danish and Hebrew translated was, and its sequel Prince of Hindustan . In 1953 Voegeli received the Swiss Youth Book Prize and an honorary gift from the Swiss Schiller Foundation .
