Max Waldstein

Max Waldstein (born December 30, 1836 in Dörzbach , † March 17, 1919 in Vienna ) was a German optician, Austrian ministerial official, writer and honorary citizen of the city of Bad Ischl . He was of Jewish faith.

He was born to the married couple Jakob Waldstein and had the later writer Ludwig (1836–1919), Simon and Antonia Passauer (1844–1926), who came from his father's second marriage to Babette Leidesdorf, as siblings. med. Moritz Passauer was married and their foundation was transferred to today's IKG during National Socialism .
