Max Wessel

Max Eduard Wessel (born May 27, 1843 in Stüblau ; † September 5, 1928 in Danzig ) was district administrator, police president and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Wessel was a landowner in Sparau and from January 14, 1880 was a district administrator in the Stuhm district . From 1882 to 1892 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from April 1891 to August 31, 1892 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Marienwerder District 1 ( Marienwerder , Stuhm ) and the German Reich Party . He gave up his mandate because he was appointed police chief of Danzig, which he remained until 1919.
