Max von Ketelhodt

Maximilian Raimund Ferdinand Freiherr von Ketelhodt (born November 16, 1843 in Rudolstadt , † February 18, 1907 in Behringen near Stadtilm ) was a German manor owner and administrative lawyer.

Life

Max von Ketelhodt was the eldest son of the Princely Schwarzburg-Rudolstädter Chamberlain, Privy Councilor and President of the Finance College Johann Albert von Ketelhodt and his wife Thekla, nee. von Ketelhodt (1817–1888). From 1862 he studied law at the University of Göttingen , where he became a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen . In the summer semester of 1864 he moved to the University of Rostock and completed his studies there.

He entered the administrative service of Mecklenburg-Schwerin as an official auditor in Dargun in 1866 and passed the judge examination in 1869. Then he was transferred to Crivitz .

He went through an administrative career in the Grand Duchy and was from 1887 to 1901 governor ( Drost ) in the Mecklenburg-Redentin- Poel district with its seat in Wismar .

He owned the manor he had inherited from the family in Behringen near Stadtilm . Associated with this was the ceremonial office as an inheritance gift from the princes of Henneberg .
