Markus Krienke

Markus Krienke (* 1978 ) is a German Catholic theologian and lawyer .

Krienke studied philosophy and theology in Rome and Munich , where he received his diploma in 2001 and, as a scholarship holder of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the doctorate of the Catholic theological faculty of the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich with Richard Heinzmann and Martin Thurner with a doctoral thesis on Antonio Rosmini acquired.

In 2004 he worked as a habilitation student at the chair for Christian social ethics at the Catholic-theological faculty in Munich. At that time he was a fellow of the Eugen Biser Foundation . On the basis of his research, he was named “Iustitia in dignitate. Fundamental questions of a Christian legal ethic ”. At the same time, Krienke studied law in Munich until he graduated in 2007.

Since 2001 he has headed the project “Antonio Rosmini” at the Munich Chair for Christian Philosophy from the 2003 translation of the “Profilo filosofico di Antonio Rosmini” (2003) as well as a monographic special issue of the Munich Theological Journal on Rosmini's topicality, with an introduction by Walter Kasper ( 2005) emerged. In 2006, as part of the same project, the first text-critical edition of a theological work by Rosmini appeared in German.

From 2003 Krienke was an assistant at the chair for Christian Philosophy in Munich. In the summer semester of 2004 he worked at the University of Udine . In 2006/07 he was visiting professor at the Studio Teologico Laurentianum in Venice , which is part of the Antonianum Pontifical University . From 2008 Krienke was a contract professor at the Philosophical Faculty of the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.

Since 2001 he has been a member of several scientific advisory boards such as the “Forum Orient-Occident” in Trieste and in 2005 the “Consiglio Scientifico” of the “Rivista Rosminiana di filosofia e di cultura”. He is also a member of the Italian national advisory board of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation in Rome.
