Max von Uthmann

Maximilian von Uthmann (born November 19, 1853 in Ober-Maliau, Trebnitz district , † November 27, 1916 in Arnsdorf in the Riesengebirge ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Maximilian came from the noble von Uthmann family . He was a son of Maximilian von Uthmann (1822-1885) and his wife Hedwig Klara, née von Kessel (* 1823). His father was governor of Silesia and Lord of Obermaliau and clichés. General Paul von Uthmann was his brother, Major General Erdmann von Uthmann his grandfather.

Max von Uthmann studied at the Ruprecht-Karls University Heidelberg law and in 1874 the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg recipiert . After the exams he joined the Prussian civil service as a court assessor. In December 1882 he was appointed provisional district administrator in the Pillkallen district . In June 1883 he was transferred to the Trebnitz district as district administrator . In June 1891 he was put into temporary retirement there, with the statutory waiting allowance . He retired in Berlin .

Uthmann married Anna von Baumbach (* 1861) on April 9, 1889 in Berlin , from whom he divorced on May 15, 1891. He then married Magarethe von Uthmann (* 1866) in Breslau on October 29, 1901. The following children were born from this marriage:

  • Otto (1904–1930)
  • Hans (* 1906) ⚭ 1939 (divorced 1940) Harriet Fricke (* 1916)
