Maxillary ganglion

The maxillary ganglion ( ganglion maxillare ) is a nerve cell node ( ganglion ) in the nervous system of crustaceans , millipedes and native insects . It is one of the ganglia of the rope ladder nervous system as a feature of the arthropod .

The Maxillarganglion one of the three front ganglia pairs, through which the mouth parts are provided, also these are around the Labialganglion (ganglion labial) or the homologous ganglion 2. maxilla in crustaceans and Mandibularganglion (ganglion maxillare). In higher insects, the three single ganglia merge to form the subterranean ganglion .
