Presnyakov works in various techniques and genres (such as oil , drawing , watercolor ; history painting , realism of the 21st century, etc.). Mythological motifs occupy a special place in his oeuvre , but all of his works bear the individual signature of the artist. Presnyakov himself described his style as "stencilless":

“From the outset I don't set myself the task of keeping myself within a framework. I think that it is difficult to set limits to creative restlessness, but one can say that realistic and symbolist directions are at the same time in my works. "

Presnyakov developed some new styles, e.g. B. micro-painting ( inside the atomic nucleus , portrait of a fly , etc.). He is also known as the theorist of ornamentalism in art.

pedagogy

Since 2008 he has been teaching at a Ryazan creative workshop. A year later Presnyakov became head of this workshop. Today he is also a lecturer at the Ryazan branch of the Petersburg University of Folk Arts.
