Maximilian Humpert

Maximilian Humpert (born September 21, 1990 in Remscheid ) is a German slam poet , filmmaker , musician and journalist .

Life

Since 2009 Maximilian Humpert has appeared in more than 270 poetry slams and reading stages in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Humpert achieved greater notoriety through his appearance at NightWash with the text Plea for Serenity and with his appearance at the 3rd Bielefeld lecture hall slam with the text memory splinters . In 2015 Maximilian Humpert reached the semifinals of the German-speaking Poetry Slam Championships and was one of the twelve best poets in the individual competition.

In addition to his appearances on stages, Humpert is known for producing poetry clips for his texts. His short film Standstill has won several awards. Humpert directed, composed the music and wrote the text together with the slam poet Svenja Gräfen . In 2013 he was seen on WDR television in a poetry clip in the format yes and no. In 2015 he worked as an author and poetry slammer on the program Ninias Fashion Mag on RTL Television . The show was nominated for the Children's Media Prize Golden Spatz .

Published in 2012 Maximilian Humpert the CD stroboscope the label Eydition. Together with Jan Philipp Zymny and Fabian Navarro , Humpert was active in the slam team Team 101 between 2012 and 2015 . In 2012 the team went on a one-week reading tour through Germany and reached the team finals of the German-speaking championships in poetry slam in November.

Maximilian Humpert also works as a freelance journalist, including for Bento , a Spiegel Online project . With the multimedia project Target: At Home , which deals with the integration in Dortmund's northern part of the city, he was among the top 12 of the Axel Springer Prize 2016.

From 2010 to 2016 Maximilian Humpert studied media science and media informatics in Cologne and Bonn . During his studies he received a scholarship from the Journalist Academy of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation .
