Maximilian David Scheidt (* 1988 in Aachen ) is a German actor .

Life

Maximilian Scheidt grew up in his hometown and was already on stage in 2007 at the age of 19 at the Theater Aachen with roles in Inkheart and End Station Sehnsucht . After graduating from high school, he studied acting at the Hanover University of Music, Theater and Media from 2008 to 2012 . During his studies, Scheidt appeared in several productions at the Hanover Theater and at the Hanover Studio Theater . A guest engagement took him to the Bremen Theater in 2011 , where he starred in Herbert Fritsch's Nibelungen . In the same year he was awarded the Duo Prize at the drama school meeting .

In 2012 Scheidt received his first permanent engagement at the Theater Münster and also devoted himself increasingly to film. As a film actor, he took on a leading role in Edgar Reitz's award-winning film Die Another Heimat - Chronik einer Sehnsucht , which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in 2013 and won the Golden Lola for Best Film at the 2014 German Film Prize . Scheidt was seen on television in April 2015 with a leading role in the film Out of the Curve .

In autumn 2014 he took part in the filming of the novel by Peter Stamms Agnes , directed by Johannes Schmid , in which he played the role of Niklas . The film is due to hit theaters on June 2, 2016.

From the 2017/2018 season he is a permanent member of the ensemble at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg .
