Maximilian Vicari (born July 16, 1880 in Ottobeuren , † March 8, 1955 ) was the building officer of the city of Kempten and created the first plans for the middle ring and the sewer system of Kempten.

Life

Vicari graduated from high school with Sankt Stephan in Augsburg , then he attended the Technical University of Munich . There, trained as a civil engineer, he began working in city administrations. So he also worked in Mainz .

Vicari married Karoline Vogel in Heidelberg in 1906 and became a father in 1915. In 1909 he started his work in Kempten. His plans for a sewer system and a Kempten bypass (Mittlerer Ring) date from this time. At that time, however, there were hardly any motor vehicles in Kempten. The building council also planned to convert the King Ludwig Bridge for road traffic. In 1914 Vicari received a seat and vote on the city council from Adolf Horchler . Since then, Vicari has been planning to convert the large hall in the Kornhaus , town hall , and old main train station . The Stadtbad Kempten is one of his greatest designs .

Vicari's plans for the Mittlerer Ring in Kempten were implemented from the 1970s to the 1990s.
