Maximilian (Max) Schiefele alias Maxxess (born January 7, 1962 ) is a German electronic and rock musician from Heubach .

General

Max Schiefele started playing guitar at the age of 12, inspired by the emerging German rock scene . He initially covered well-known rock bands such as AC / DC , and later founded his first band. After he became interested in electronic music ( Kraftwerk , Tangerine Dream , Klaus Schulze ), he bought his first synthesizer and began to compose his own electronic music in the 80s. Later he gradually upgraded his equipment.

In 1987 he won the prize for the best “White Waves commissioned composition” at the Frankfurt synthesizer music festival “White Waves” with a purely electronic composition. Two years later he won another competition with an instrumental piece , this time that of the “ Keyboards ” magazine .

Towards the end of the 90s, after activities with various bands, Schiefele took on the pseudonym "Maxxess" in order to compose and play his own music solo. Since then he has been making instrumental music which, through the use of the electric guitar, is a mixture of electronic sounds and progressive rock in addition to the synthesizers . At first he published some of his pieces on the internet portal mp3.de and received a positive response there. Finally, in 2001, the first CD was released on the specially founded record label "Klangdesign".

In 2004 Maxxess won the vibration elections in the category "Best Musician 2003". In the same year a joint album with the electronic musician Axel Stupplich ("Axess") from the band Pyramid Peak was released . In the following time they often appeared together, not only in Germany but also at well-known electronics festivals in Great Britain and the Netherlands .

Max Schiefele also operates Running and takes on a regular basis since 2007 Ultramarathon Competitions in part. He is married and lives in Mögglingen .
