The Mayewski Peak is a mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Saint Johns Range it rises in the middle of a ridge on the north side of the Baldwin Valley .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1976 after Paul Alexander Mayewski (* 1946), who carried out geological work in the area of McMurdo Station (1968–1969) and the McGregor Glacier (1968–1971) as part of the United States Antarctic Research Program. , the Willett Range and the Convoy Range (1971–1972) and the Rennick Glacier (1974–1975).
