Maza is a former city in Towner County in the northeast of the US -amerikanischen state of North Dakota . In the 2000 census , only 5 residents were identified. This made the place one of eight places in the USA that only had 5 residents. Until its dissolution in 2002, Maza was an independent municipality. Today the place is part of a so-called Unincorporated Area .

Maza is located on US Highway 281 in north-south direction, 14 km south of Cando , the administrative seat of Towner County. US Highway 2 , the northernmost transcontinental cross-link in the USA, runs around 12 km south of Maze .
