action

Tina is not invited to Tammy's Bat Mitzvah , but she and her family can come to the celebration as caterers. There, Louise convinces the party coordinator Janet to quit, and Tina becomes her successor as the "new Janet". Meanwhile, the rest of the Belcher family tries to stay at their catering stand, but one by one they are seduced by the rest of the food and leave the stand.

After repairing a broken light in the large, hollow replica of Tammy's head, Tammy and Louise are trapped in it when that head is lifted back into place above the stage. Louise drops her headset into a bowl of guacamole so that they can't tell anyone where they are. Because Tammy has made it clear beforehand that the schedule must be followed in any case, Tina takes Tammy's place. She receives congratulations from Tammy's family and friends, whom she call "Other Tammy," and she reads the Torah and leads the dances. Tammy is upset when she realizes that because of her bad behavior, no one cares that she is absent. With the help of Louise, she realizes that she is a "terrible bat-zilla". Louise manages to fix the headset but demands that Tammy invite Tina to all future parties. Tammy agrees, but Tina ignores the two's call for help so that she can be the center of attention even longer. Tammy and Louise break their feet through the bottom of the head replica just before Tina can lead the dance with the most popular boy in the party. Tina apologizes to Tammy, but tells her that she now understands why she behaved so obnoxiously: Being the center of attention is intoxicating. At first, Tammy is happy that someone understands her, until Tina thanks her for coming to see her Bat Mitzvah. Before Tammy can attack her, Tina calls on everyone to dance the Hora , so that the guests lift the angry Tammy into the air. The Belchers meet and leave the party while Tina wishes Tammy a happy bat mitzvah.

reception

Av Club pilot Viruet gave the episode an "A−" and wrote:

“It's one of those episodes where the events, while funny, pale in comparison to the wonderful little character moments: Louise showing how much she cares about her sister but not going totally soft (she is mostly indifferent to Tammy's upset cries); Tina understanding her selfish and obsessive actions; the entire family continuing to accept whatever silly traits the rest of them have. "

“It's one of those episodes where events, while funny, lose their meaning to the wonderful little character moments: Louise shows how much she cares about her sister, but she doesn't get completely indulgent (she's mostly disinterested in Tammys angry shouting); Tina understands her selfish and obsessive actions; the whole family accepts whatever silly habits the rest of them have. "

Robert Ham from Magazin Paste gave the episode 8.6 out of 10 points, he wrote:

“There's much to love about the Belcher children on Bob's Burgers . Heck, they are 2/3 rds of the reason many people I know keep tuning in every week. But what really strikes me in episodes like tonight's is how indefatigable they are. All three may be social pariahs with weird habits and attitudes, but they never let their lack of friends or good fortune get them down for very long. "

“There's a lot to love about the Belcher kids at Bob's Burgers . Hell, they're 2/3 of the reason a lot of people I know tune in every week. But what really comes to mind with episodes like tonight's is how tireless they are. All three of them may be social outsiders with strange habits and attitudes, but they never let a lack of friends or happiness get them down for long. "

When it was first broadcast in the USA, the episode was seen by 2.44 million viewers and achieved a target group rating of 1.1 percent. After Family Guy , The Simpsons and American Dad, she is fourth in the animated series on Fox that evening.
