The McClure Pass is a mountain pass in the western US state of Colorado . The pass lies on the border of Gunnison Counties and Pitkin Counties and runs between Carbondale and Paonia. The McClure Pass connects the Roaring Fork Valley with the North Fork Valley. The pass is passable all year round, except when heavy snowstorms rage in winter.
