McKenzie Kate Westmore (born April 26, 1977 in Van Nuys , California ) is an American child actress , film and stage actress .

Life

McKenzie was born as the youngest daughter of makeup artist Michael Westmore and his wife Marion (other sources: Miriam) in Van Nuys, California. Your uncle is Monty Westmore . She was discovered by Hollywood star Robert De Niro when he was visiting the Westmores' house in early 1980 to prepare for Martin Scorsese's Like a Wild Bull . The two got along so well that McKenzie gave the film daughter De Niros in Like a Wild Bull at the age of three .

Later she was trained at the Lee Strasberg Theater and in the acting class directed by Uta Hagen . Since Westmore was also musically gifted, she also appeared in various musicals and operas , including Dido and Aeneas and The Sound of Music . She is also a trained opera singer . To this day she has stood in front of the film camera in various television series and feature films . Between 1999 and 2008 she was in front of the camera for the soap opera Passions . During the shooting, she met the musician Keith Volpone , whom she married on May 25, 2002 in Las Vegas . Westmore gave birth to their son Maddox in 2006.

Westmore was nominated twice for the Daytime Emmy Award and two more times for the Soap Opera Digest Award . She received a Soap Opera Digest Award in 2005 for her performance in “Passions”.
