The Medibank International Sydney 2010 was a tennis tournament of the 2010 WTA Tour 's and a tennis tournament of the 2010 ATP World Tour for men in Sydney . The tournament took place at the same time as the women's tennis tournament Moorilla Hobart International in Auckland from January 10-16 , 2010.
Defending champions in the singles were David Nalbandian for men and Jelena Dementjewa for women. In the men's doubles the pairing was Bob Bryan and Mike Bryan , in the women's doubles the pairing Su-Wei Hsieh and Shuai Peng were the defending champions.
In the women's singles Jelena Dementjewa won 6: 3, 6: 2 against Serena Williams . In doubles, Cara Black / Liezel Huber won against Tathiana Garbin / Nadja Petrowa 6: 1, 3: 6, [10: 3].
