Medibank International Sydney 2011
The Medibank International Sydney 2011 was a tennis tournament of the 2011 WTA Tour 's and a tennis tournament of the 2011 ATP World Tour for men in Sydney . The tournament took place at the same time as the women's tennis tournament Moorilla Hobart International in Auckland and the men's tournament Heineken Open in Auckland from January 9-14, 2011.
The defending champions in the singles were Marcos Baghdatis for the men and Jelena Dementjewa for the women. In the men's doubles the pairing Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjić , in the women's doubles the pairing Cara Black and Liezel Huber, the defending champions.
Chinese player Li Na won the women's singles . She prevailed against Kim Clijsters 7: 6, 6: 3. In doubles, the pairing Iveta Benešová / Barbora Záhlavová-Strýcová won 4: 6, 6: 4, [10: 7] against the pairing Květa Peschke / Katarina Srebotnik .
