Medicine Head was a British rock band .

history

It essentially consisted of John Fiddler ( guitar , vocals and bass drum) and Peter Hope-Evans ( harmonica and jew's harp ).

In 1971, ex- Yardbird Keith Relf briefly joined the band when "Harpo" Hope-Evans took a break to return in 1972. The band grew to strength 5 with Roger Saunders (guitar), Rob Townsend (drums) and George Ford (bass) and had their most successful period in 1973/74. The single One & One Is One reached number three in the British and number two in the German charts in 1973 .

However, the 1974 album Thru 'a Five flopped and the band began to fall apart. What remained was the original duo Fiddler / Hope-Evans, who released their last album, Two Man Band, in 1976 .
