history

In May 1974 the first magazine appeared (published by Rolf Becker ), at that time still under the name Medi & Zini , with issue 7. 1986 the name was changed to Medizini . Until 1998, each issue consisted of a poster in DIN A1 format , in July 1998 the scope was expanded to include a second (knowledge) poster in DIN A2 format. The circulation is 1.35 million copies (status IV / 2019). The Medizini-Magazines are also recommended by the Reading Foundation .

content

The posters mostly show motifs from the animal kingdom. The knowledge poster partly also explains facts from technology, science or history.

Comics, games, and informative reports are featured on the back of the posters. There is also a competition included. To do this, a question about an article, mostly about an animal, has to be answered.

Comics in the medicine

Each medical issue contains approx. 2 Din A4 pages with comics. The following series are regularly represented:

  • The Mausebein family : Bobbi and his brother Bubi Mausebein, two little mouse oaks, star in the longest-running series that has existed since the early 1980s. Often it is about lies that Bobbi serves up, sometimes with his brother, parents or friends. However, he is so clumsy that in the end the untruth of his statements turns out to be. The series created by Branco Karabajić was designed by him for around 20 years. In 2002 Florian Julino took over the drawings, replaced in 2015 by Bernd "Bone" Buddrus .
