Gabriel Nemeth

Gabriel Nemeth (born June 9, 1957 ) is a German graphic artist , illustrator and comic artist .

Life

Gabriel Nemeth attended from 1974 to 1977 the vocational school for graphics and advertising at the Academy for the Graphic Arts in Munich .

After a long stay in the United States , he settled in Munich again and has been working as a freelance illustrator and copywriter for various advertising agencies and publishers since 1980.

Since the mid-1980s, he has been largely involved in editing children's books and comics. He was involved in the development of the series "Quercomics" under the artist name "Tschap" in the series Rotfuchs from Rowohlt Verlag and many others.

Between 1995 and 2013, together with Jan Gulbransson , he designed the educational comic series Willi Wurm and his friends for the children's pharmacy magazine Medizini . In the series, ecological and popular science contexts were presented in a child-friendly manner. The read circulation reached 1.49 million copies (status IV / 2014). As a follow-up to this series, the same authors create the comic Willi and Rudi in Medizini .

From 2012 he developed the textual and figurative relaunch of the picture book figure Glöbeli for the Swiss Globi publishing house. A total of 4 Glöbeli picture books were published.
