The Meduna is a river in Friuli-Venezia Giulia in northeastern Italy . The left tributary of the Livenza is about 80 km long and has a characteristic infiltration stretch in the middle course in the Venetian lowlands :

"A couple of streams converge to form a wide river, suddenly disappear into the gravelly soil east of Maniago and reappear as the Meduna River just before Pordenone ."

Its longest tributary, the Cellina , which comes from Monte Pramaggiore and reaches the Venetian plain west of Maniago, also seeps away and flows into the re-emergence source.

The Meduna then flows into the Livenza at Ponti di Tremeacque, municipality of Prata di Pordenone .
