The Medusa Peak is a 1,700 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Tentacle Ridge of the Cook Mountains, it rises southeast of Perseus Peak .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 2000 after the Medusa , a gorgon from Greek mythology .
