The Meesenburg Group is a wholesaler and sells products to manufacturers of construction elements and the building trade. In addition to building hardware for windows and doors, tools, profiles and seals and assembly materials for the installation of structural elements, the group has specialized in security technology.
history
Over the course of the company's history, the owner-managed company has developed from activities in shipping and overseas trade , retail and wholesale to a national and international supplier for the wood, plastics and metal processing trades, industry and building management . With the associated area of security & service, the Meesenburg Group u. a. Locking and alarm systems, escape route solutions and security technology for commercial and private customers.
In 1758 Paul Danielsen founded the company in Flensburg and ran it until 1788. In 1889 Matthias Meesenburg founded his own company, which then took over the old Danielsen company. In 1986 Martin Meesenburg joined the company and in 1989 took over responsibility for wholesaling. In 1996 a subsidiary was founded in Russia .
The first security center (Meesenburg GmbH) was built in 1997 in Flensburg. In 1998 the Meesenburg Group joined E / D / E (Purchasing Office of German Iron Dealers GmbH). In 2008 a location in the Czech Republic joined the Meesenburg Group. Meesenburg Service was founded in 2012 as an independent business unit of Meesenburg GmbH. A. Schween GmbH and Laarmann & Peez GmbH were taken over the following year.
Products and services
The Meesenburg Group sells products from various areas, in particular articles from the areas of locks and fittings, assembly of components, surface technology , technical furniture fittings and security technology. In addition, Meesenburg GmbH sells and installs products for building automation .
Customers are manufacturers of components, as well as companies that carry out the professional installation of components with the assembly accessories that conform to the rules.
The group also offers various services. In addition to the production, assembly, maintenance and repair of security technology and building automation, these are specialist training courses on products and their application.

The owner-managed family company has over 30 locations in Germany. With Meesenburg International there are further locations in Russia, the Czech Republic, Romania , Ukraine , Lithuania , Slovakia , the United Arab Emirates , Australia and China as well as Belarus and Kazakhstan . Murat Yucel is the managing director for Meesenburg International.
