Meeuwen-Gruitrode ( Limburgish : Miëve-Roj ) is a former Belgian municipality in the Flanders region with 13,091 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2018). Since January 1, 2019, she and the municipality of Opglabbeek belong to the newly formed municipality of Oudsbergen .

Hasselt is 22 kilometers south, Maastricht 30 kilometers south-east and Brussels around 85 kilometers south-west.

The next motorway exit is at Genk on the A2 / E 314 .

The nearest regional train stations are in Genk, Heusden-Zolder , Overpelt and Hasselt .
